ROOM CHANGE: 6F7Z3001P (Research Design & Methods)
Hi everyone,
Welcome to the first week of teaching!
Your very first lecture (FT and Year 2 PT students) is at 12 - 1pm (Research Design & Methods)
The advertised room has changed. It is NOT Sandra Burslem SB3.03. It is now:
In term 1 (starting this week) - the lecture is now in classroom E412 (John Dalton East - near the room Induction took place)
In term 2 (after Christmas) & week 37 – the lecture will be in E221

MSc Support Workshop
The PSTs will be holding two project support workshops before and after the summer break. In the first session, we will run through project design, data collection and introduce project writing. The second session will focus on data analysis, applying statistical tests and presenting / discussing your results.
The sessions will be part taught, part discussion, so bring along your plans for your project and we will have a chat about them.
1st Workshop - Wednesday 3rd June (1000-1200) JD C1.02
2nd Workshop - September. Date, time and venue TBC

There will be compulsory one-to-one progress tutorials held for all students:
EMSD on Wednesday 4th February (between 9am and 11am)
SA/EMB/GIS on Wednesday 11th February (between 9am and 11am)
A list has been posted on the Research Design and Methods unit Moodle page (near the top of the page) telling you which slot you have been allocated. The tutorial slot only lasts for 15 minutes but is very important as you will be asked about:
What MSc dissertation topic do you want to do (I need this information to match you to a supervisor)
Do you wish to go on a placement during your dissertation?
Will you be attending the MSc Field Trip in March?
Yours marks and attendance (engagement)
Employability and careers
Please arrive slightly before your allocated slot to allow a smooth handover from one person to the next.
